What Is The Meaning of Friendship?

  I wonder what is the meaning of friendship? Then when you figure that out at what expense will you pay of being someone's friend?  I had a friend for almost a decade.  Wow, I seem old but it's true.  I'm 23 years old and I had a friend since I was 17 years old. I never had an argument or a fight with her. I can never recall a time when we ever judged each other or even left each other side. It's crazy to me because every since she left to Kentucky to be with whom she wanted to spend her life with, I never met anyone like her. I had friends judge me, argue with me, fall out so bad that we could never be friends again, and even try to even control. I thought I found someone just like my friend that had moved but someone killed her March 4,2011.  An aweful day and it opened my eyes to a lot of things. I'm just wondering what do friendship mean to people? I value my friendships.  It hurts to lose a friend and most of the time I try not to make anymore because the outcome always hurt me!!
